CenterLink is a member-based coalition of LGBTQ centers, youth centers, senior centers, start-up groups, social service agencies, pride groups, and more that supports the development of strong, sustainable, and healthy LGBTQ communities. Members have access to many valuable resources to help them to do more, to reach more people, and to thrive.
CenterLink is committed to developing both leaders and leadership across our more-than-300 center network. We understand that investing in our leaders, and their leadership, is an investment in our vision of flourishing LGBTQ centers that nurture thriving, healthy, safe communities.
Under the CenterLink Leadership Institute umbrella, member organizations will find our Board Essentials trainings, Exceptional Governance Series, Safety & Security Series, YouthLink Learning Institute, ActionLink Learning Institute, and a range of network calls each designed to strengthen, support, and connect our member organizations.
My CenterLink is an online resource portal for CenterLink members, containing relevant information to help LGBTQ Community Center leaders to succeed. Executive Directors and Board Members can find services, legislative updates, sample forms, policies, handbooks, job descriptions and other documentation; maintain their online directory listing; access webinars, program registrations and trainings; and communicate with other member center leaders.

CenterLink provides resources for groups planning to open a community center or expand existing programs and services. The resources available include sample forms, “how to” articles, and training materials. The clearing house also contains samples of articles of incorporation, by-laws, job descriptions, policies and procedures and directions on how to apply to the IRS for tax-exempt status.
The MAP/CenterLink LGBTQ Community Center Survey Report gets to the heart of trends driving the LGBT Community Center movement – giving members an overview of local lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ) community centers, including their capacity, their programs and services, the people they serve, and their technical assistance needs. These reports help LGBTQ organizations and donors better understand the unique role that community centers play in the LGBTQ movement, as well as centers’ needs and capacities.
